About Our Abilene, TX Kitchen Fire Recovery Team

We are a local, IICRC-certified restoration company. Our Abilene, TX technicians are specially trained to handle the unique challenges of kitchen fires. We understand that this isn't just a simple cleaning job—it's a scientific process of degreasing, deodorizing, and decontaminating your home to make it safe and healthy again.

Why a Kitchen Fire is a Unique Disaster

• Protein Soot: When food, oil, and grease burn, they create a "protein soot." Unlike the dry, powdery soot from a wood fire, this soot is invisible, oily, and sticks to every surface. You often smell it before you see it.
• Acidic Residue: This soot is acidic and will corrode surfaces. Within days, it can etch your appliances, cabinets, and even countertops if not professionally removed.
• Extinguisher Dust: The powder from a fire extinguisher is also corrosive and creates a massive, fine-dust mess that can destroy electronics.

What NOT to Do:

• Do NOT try to wipe down walls or cabinets yourself. Protein soot will smear and embed itself permanently, turning a cleaning job into a replacement job.
• Do NOT turn on your HVAC system. This will spread the soot and odor to every room.

Our Kitchen Fire Restoration Process

• Assess & Secure: We first assess the damage and, if needed, board up any windows.
• Soot & Debris Removal: We safely remove all fire extinguisher dust and debris.
• Specialized Degreasing: We use specialized chemical degreasers and "soot sponges" to lift the oily protein soot from all surfaces—walls, ceilings, cabinets, and contents.
• Odor Removal: This is key. We use advanced equipment like thermal foggers or hydroxyl generators to neutralize the odor molecules at their source, leaving your home smoke-free.
• Contents Cleaning: We can often clean and restore your pots, pans, and small appliances.
• Reconstruction: We can handle any needed repairs, from replacing cabinets to repainting.
